Experience
I started employment with UCHealth as a Certified Nursing Assistant on the Cardiology floor in 2017, while pursuing further education. Upon graduation from Pima Medical Institute in 2022 I accepted a position at the Medical Center of the Rockies (MCR). Here I was exposed to a fast-paced trauma environment, splitting my time between the Surgical ICU and the Emergency Department. While there I rewrote the mechanical ventilation protocol and assisted in setting up a tracheostomy team that streamlined the process of utilizing speaking valves and working towards decannulation.
