New Hanover Regional Medical Center

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHNHRMC) is a comprehensive, not-for-profit teaching hospital located in Wilmington, North Carolina. With approximately 800 beds, it serves as a regional referral center and is affiliated with the UNC School of Medicine. The medical center offers a wide range of specialty services, including women's and children's care, rehabilitation, psychiatric services, and a Level II trauma center. Novant Health​

The medical center is equipped with multiple intensive care units, including adult, neonatal, and pediatric ICUs, as well as a 108-bed emergency department. Surgical services encompass general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic procedures, vascular surgery, and open-heart surgery. NHNHRMC also offers advanced diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and an acute dialysis unit.

As part of its commitment to medical education, NHNHRMC hosts residency programs in family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and surgery. The hospital is also involved in various community outreach programs and provides significant uncompensated care to serve the needs of its diverse patient population.
